Sheen Genie is a company that currently specializes in metal polish and a metal sealant. These two products are designed to restore all metal and to add an extreme high gloss. Sheen Genie states that they use no abrasives in there metal polishing compound. So how is this possible we already have learned that abrasives are used to smooth the metal so are they lying? No! See let us look at this further the bottom line is to smooth the metal but what about the elements on top of the metal oxidation, dirt, water spots, brake dust and rust. Is the only way to remove these particles of build up is by using abrasives? No! Sheen Genie uses a chemical formulation that will dissolve the oxidation then cleans all build up with cleaner agents and then the metal is smooth thus providing you with a high gloss. However metal still has pores so how can we truly have a perfectly smoothed finish? This is where Sheen Genie inserts the chemical called chromium oxide this is strong enough to smooth the metal surface all at the same time giving any metal it touches the highest gloss possible.
Now, the next step in the process of metal polishing is not in the polishing but in the protecting. If you do not know already that metal obviously oxidizes or tarnishes then let us explain. When air touches the metal it can cause the finish to haze or some will say cloud over this is oxidation. So Sheen Genie has the next product that goes with this and that is Sealer Glaze. Sealer Glaze does not polish the metal it actual is used like a clear-coat. See when no air can touch the metal no oxidation can occur leaving the finish shiny for the duration of the clear-coat. Which in this case is six months. The finish is also now chemically coated to have an even more smooth finish which does not allow water spots or brake dust or anything for that matter to bond to the surface so all maintenance is taken care of again for the duration of the sealants life which is six months.
